Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Bars are a type of precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel, featuring around 15-17.5% Chromium, 3-5% Nickel, 3-5% Copper, and 0.15-0.45% Niobium (Cb), with the remainder being Iron. They boast remarkable mechanical strength, achieving a tensile strength of 930 MPa, yield strength of 725 MPa, and hardness levels reaching up to 44 HRC after heat treatment. SS 17-4 PH also offers excellent corrosion resistance, comparable to austenitic grades, and retains high strength at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C). These characteristics make it perfect for applications that require both high strength and moderate corrosion resistance.
