Stainless Steel 348H Tubing is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloy that’s stabilized with columbium (niobium) and fine-tuned for high-temperature applications. It features 17-20% Chromium, 8-11% Nickel, and a higher carbon content (0.04-0.10%) to enhance creep resistance. The mechanical properties include a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40% in 50mm. With excellent oxidation resistance up to 1100°C, SS 348H Tubes also show good toughness and ductility at cryogenic temperatures, making them perfect for thermal and pressure-intensive applications.
