Stainless Steel 348 Bars are a stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloy, enhanced with columbium (niobium) and tantalum. Their composition features around 17-20% Chromium, 9-13% Nickel, and Columbium + Tantalum up to ten times the carbon content, which provides excellent stabilization against carbide precipitation. SS 348 Bars boast a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa, a yield strength of at least 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40% over 50mm. With a density of 7.93 g/cm³, they also exhibit remarkable creep and stress-rupture resistance, making them ideal for high-temperature applications.
