Dairy Spray Balls are generally constructed from stainless steel grades 304 or 316L, chosen based on the corrosiveness of the application. SS 316L, containing 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, provides superior resistance to chlorides and harsh cleaning agents. These spray balls boast excellent mechanical strength, with a tensile strength of at least 485 MPa, yield strength of at least 170 MPa, and elongation of at least 35%. Their smooth internal and external surfaces help reduce product buildup and facilitate easy cleaning. They come in both static and rotary designs, offering various flow rates, spray patterns, and pressure ratings suitable for CIP systems.
