Stainless Steel 422 Sheets and Plates are martensitic stainless steels that contain around 12% chromium, 1% molybdenum, and trace amounts of tungsten, vanadium, and nickel. This unique blend provides excellent oxidation resistance and mechanical strength, particularly in high-temperature settings. SS 422 boasts a tensile strength of up to 655 MPa, a yield strength of about 415 MPa, and an elongation of 18%. With hardness levels reaching up to 240 HB, these sheets and plates maintain their shape under thermal stress, making them perfect for high-performance industrial applications where toughness and corrosion resistance are essential.
