Stainless Steel 317L Sheets and Plates are a low-carbon, molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel known for their superior corrosion resistance. They typically contain around 18-20% Chromium, 11-15% Nickel, and 3-4% Molybdenum, with a low carbon content (<0.03%) to reduce carbide precipitation. Their mechanical properties include a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa, a yield strength of at least 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40% over 50mm. SS 317L also boasts excellent creep resistance and can function effectively at high temperatures up to 870°C, making it perfect for aggressive environments like chemical processing and marine settings.
